ASTTL1 is the foundation level of Align Somatics Professional 200-Hour Teacher Training Certification.

This is the starting point to empower you, your students and clients in this transformational movement method. Whether your goal is to teach somatic movement classes or combine it with your current teaching style, this professional training programme will guide you to new depths in movement education.

Your journey begins with learning how to incorporate somatic movement into your current classes. Continue to develop your skills to start creating pure somatic movement classes and workshops and finally understanding how to confidently work with private clients.

By educating your students in somatic movement you are training them how to become aware of the compensatory patterns that are keeping them in pain and provide them with the necessary skills to improve movement, function and ultimately how they live their lives.

The 200-Hour Teacher Training Program is based on 22 years of teaching experience and understanding the needs of hundreds of past students to become effective somatic teachers. It will revolutionise the way you teach, getting you more clients and greater client retention.

*Please note: the prerequisite course for Align Somatics' Teacher Training Program is Fundamentals (FSME).* 

• Level 1 module will be released on the 14th of February. You have 4 weeks to cover all the material. The live classes are the 19th & 20th March. Full attendance is required for all live training weekends.
• Learn about the root cause of muscular pain, Sensory Motor Amnesia. The relationship this has in creating ongoing tension, movement imbalances and postural problems.
• Learn how to identify the three neuro-muscular stress reflexes in the body that create the most common postural imbalances.
• Explore, embody and learn to teach key somatic movements that target tension, rebalance and lengthen the muscles of the back, neck and shoulders, hips and legs.
• Develop your anatomical knowledge through movement-based embodied learning.
• Develop your sequencing skills to seemly incorporate somatic movements into your current classes.
• Understand how to effectively use somatic language to enhance your students’ experience, build confidence in your teaching style, demonstration, cueing and correcting.
